To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and eight years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience. Master’s degree and experience in higher education/student affairs setting preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated experience with and deep commitment to providing quality support and guidance to students, faculty, and staff representing diverse identities.
- Experience with student programming and faculty engagement.
- Knowledge of student development and community and belonging theory, as well as knowledge of current student interests, culture, and challenges.
- Ability to inspire students to think creatively and to enable their success.
- Demonstrated experience implementing university policies related to student organizations and events; experience developing such policies and enforcing them.
- Ability to establish credibility and collaborate and work effectively with leaders of other offices across a complex university structure to develop an excellent student residential experience.
- Advanced communication skills to clearly and effectively communicate information to internal and external audiences, client groups, and all levels of management.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and strategic planning/management skills.
- Demonstrated experience managing people.
- Strong analytical skills to review and analyze complex financial information.
- Demonstrated experience with significant and complex budgetary/financial management.
