To be successful in this position, you will bring:
Bachelor of Arts degree in an applicable social science related field, or combination of education and relevant experience in an applicable social science.
- General understanding of scientific theory and methods, typically gained through completion of an undergraduate degree in a related field.
- General computer skills and ability to quickly learn and master computer programs.
- Ability to work under deadlines with general guidance.
- Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to complete detailed work accurately.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with human study participants.
Desired Qualifications:
Master degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant
- Experience in early childhood development projects, preferably math development projects.
- Proficiency in at least two of the following statistical programming languages: Python, R, SAS, SPSS, or STATA.
- Proficiency in SQL for data transformation.
- Proficiency in a programming language like C or C++.
- Skilled in descriptive analysis, data modeling, and graphic interfaces.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information to all audiences.
- Demonstrated expertise in statistical methodology.
- Experience in using machine learning algorithms.
- Proficiency in working with High Performance Compute (HPC) clusters, utilizing frameworks such as SLUR, and submitting and managing batch jobs through bash scripting.
- Experience conducting electroencephalogram (EEG) tests on human subjects
- Familiarity with statistical software packages

The expected pay range for this position is $52,000 to $90,000 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
