MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience in sustainability program management, or combination of education and relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to effectively identify, analyze, prioritize, develop, and implement a wide range of sustainability programs.
- Polished verbal and written communications skills, including public speaking and formal presentations.
- Team management and supervisory skills, including delegation and accountability, staff recruitment and development, budgeting and budget management, and internal and external reporting.
- Project management skills, including reliable scopes of work, timelines, and cost estimates for sustainability projects.
- Adept at understanding and communicating sustainability principles to others and ability to integrate those principles into campus operations.
- Capability to diplomatically bridge the gap between sustainability idealists and pragmatists to motivate and align diverse interests to advance sustainability on the campus; ability to build consensus among diverse interest groups.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
- Frequently sitting, perform desk-based computer tasks, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
- Occasionally stand/walk, twist/bend/stoop/squat, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, use a telephone, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 11-20 pounds.
- Rarely kneel/crawl, climb (ladders, scaffolds, or other), reach/work above shoulders, grasp forcefully, writing by hand, sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh >40 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- May require work on weekends and evenings.
- Work can involve long hours of standing and sustained communications/dialogue.
