Business Records Archive Review Project Manager

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience:

• J.D. or similar is highly desirable
• An advanced degree in a social science is required

 Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience in archival research is highly desirable
• Successful experience in similar work in a research organization or agency is required
• Experience with reading complex agreements with meticulous attention to detail, and have excellent critical thinking skills to parse the history and timeline of the organization
• Recognition of substantial professional accomplishment both within and beyond Stanford is expected at this rank.
• Ability to articulate the role of the Library within the University and with other cultural heritage organizations. Ability to act as liaison between the Library and University and external partners.
• Exercise a high level of initiative, sound judgment and leadership.
• Evidence of specialized knowledge or advanced managerial/supervisory skills is expected.
• Experience with identifying, evaluating, recommending, and implementing new service programs, technology, and complex workflows.
• Technical skills: whether that be experience with electronic discovery software, databases, and document management systems, or familiarity with Excel.
• Attention to detail: a vital skill for document review, you’ll require the ability to review large volumes of documents with a level of accuracy and consistency.
• Analytical skills: as the goal of document review is to analyze and identify infringements of the law, an analytical mindset is essential.
• Communication skills: a critical part of the role is communicating your findings and recommendations effectively to lawyers and other stakeholders.

Physical Requirements:

• Constantly sit, perform desk-based computer tasks.
• Occasionally stand/walk, twist/bend/stoop/squat, kneel/crawl, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
• Rarely use a telephone, operate hand controls.
• Must be able to push and maneuver a fully loaded cart weighing up to 650 pounds that requires an initial push force up to 50 pounds.

The expected pay range for this position is $125K-$162K per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
