University IT (UIT) AVT Solutions team, part of the Business Affairs organization at Stanford University, is dedicated to delivering world-class service and technological solutions to advance research, teaching and learning, administration, and healthcare. Stanford University is expanding its Audio/Video (A/V) services, and we are looking for an AV Field Engineer who can excel in orchestrating and prioritizing timely deployment of multiple large A/V systems and equipment refresh projects in a fast pace and fluid environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience. Specific experience in network design, implementation, analysis, and project management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- In-depth experience in the implementation and support of large-scale AV projects
- Proven successful track record planning and managing AV system projects, including ability to lead and mentor.
- Experience coordinating with AV vendors and integrators on programming and installation activities.
- Working knowledge of web conferencing tools e.g., Zoom, WebEx, Microsoft Teams
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
- Ability to remain calm, engage collaboratively and take action in ambiguous and stressful situations.
- Analytical troubleshooting skills
Certifications and Licenses:
- CTS, CTS-I Certifications preferred.
- Must possess and maintain a valid California non-commercial Class C Driver’s License.
Desired Certifications
- Equipment: Cisco, Samsung Commercial Displays, Panasonic, Shure MicroFlex, Extron, QSC, Biamp, Atlona, Crestron, etc.
- Extron programming interface, Q-SYS
- Cisco Call Manager Device Configuration

The expected pay range for this position is $123,408– $ 140,000 per annum.
