Qualifications

Applicants should have a law degree from an accredited law school and a minimum of six years of relevant experience practicing in a hospital setting, health care environment, or a law firm where the applicant’s practice includes work with healthcare clients and/or work on health law related issues. Applicant must be a member of the California Bar or able to become one shortly, and demonstrate excellence in academic credentials, judgment, writing, analytical and communication skills. Applicant should be comfortable with technology, committed to teamwork, responsive, and have a proven track record of providing the highest quality client service.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include legal support for the following: advising, negotiating, drafting, reviewing, and managing clinical and other contracts; providing day-to-day legal advice and counsel to administration and clinical staff regarding legal matters including, but not limited to privacy, non-profit governance, and regulatory requirements; analyzing the impact and application of federal and state health care laws and regulations, including Stark, HIPAA, and fraud and abuse laws. The Applicant must be comfortable working independently on day-to-day legal counseling on operational and transactional matters and helpful to have working knowledge of corporate transactions, 340B Drug Pricing Program and experience with litigation requests.
