To be successful in this role you must bring:
- Bachelor’s degree and (five)- (5) years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience with contract management, operations, and customer service.
- Contract management experience with $8-$15 million with multi stakeholders.
- Operations and logistics experience.
- Customer service experience in a multi-stakeholder environment.
- Interest in in sustainability and/or zero waste field
- Must be inquisitive and self-driven.
- Ability to forge and maintain strategic partnerships across a complex institution.
- Must have the ability to pay attention to details.
- Strong writing and data analysis and reporting skills.
- Demonstrated skill in the use of spreadsheets, database programs, and word processing programs.
Strongly Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to develop and meet budget goals.
- Demonstrated curiosity and the ability to bring projects to fruition.
- Able to plan and execute projects on a timeline with moderate or little supervision.
- Ability to accomplish goals working through formal and informal channels, with diplomacy and tactfulness.
- High degree of discretion and judgement.
- High degree of energy and initiative, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Experience working in an environmental/academic setting.
- Finance background a plus.
- Academic and/or professional experience in sustainability and/or zero waste.
- Zero Waste certifications such as CRRA/SWANA or TRUE a plus.
- A balanced sense of environmental stewardship.
- Familiarity with higher education organizational and operational structures, ability to objectively think through impact of initiatives in an institutional setting, a plus.

Physical Requirements*:
- Frequently sitting, perform desk-based computer tasks, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
- Frequent use of cell phone.
- Frequently stand/walk, twist/bend/stoop/squat, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, use a telephone, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 11-20 pounds.

Working Conditions
- Occasional work on weekends and evenings.
- Work involves long hours of standing and sustained communications/dialogue.

Core Administrators Duties:
- Lead the planning and operations for programs or functions that have significant business, regulatory and/or technical challenges requiring subject matter expertise.
- Evaluate programs or functions, policies and procedures. Identify issues, and develop alternative solutions which may include changes to programs, policies and procedures.
- Review and analyze trends to advise and develop recommendations to achieve or modify the goals of the program or function.
- Represent the program or function within the department, unit or school. Commit resources and provide information and/or training. Represent the program or function at the university level and/or to external/internal stakeholders and constituencies.
- Manage and contribute to the development of outreach strategy that may include relationship development, communications and compliance.
- May develop and/or oversee budgets; manage, finances including monitoring, analyzing, forecasting, and reporting.
