To be successful in the position, you will bring:
Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.  Advanced degree and/or five to seven years of experience preferred.

Must have a valid CA driver’s license and the ability to operate a university-owned vehicle in compliance with University guidelines and requirements.

The ideal candidate has past experience working in residential education, particularly with high school students, and has excellent leadership skills, judgment, integrity, flexibility, and creativity as well as a positive attitude, the ability to collaborate and consult, and a good sense of humor.


In addition, preferred requirements include:
●    Strong communication skills to clearly and effectively communicate information to internal and external audiences, student groups, and leadership.
●    Advanced analysis and problem solving skills.
●    Advanced customer service skills.
●    Relevant computer systems/technology experience, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
●    Ability to develop budgets and create guidelines for program spending.
●    Ability to ensure and apply compliance with legal, financial, and university policies and external regulations.


Work standards:
This position includes extended or non-standard hours, mainly from June through early September, when residential programs are in session. During these months the position will operate on Stanford University’s Main Campus. Although not a residential position, summer engagement includes being on call with the ability to respond quickly to unexpected situations, often in person.

Please note: The Summer Session Office is located at the Stanford Campus in Redwood City. Work during the Summer Quarter will be on Stanford’s main campus. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, staff are temporarily employing hybrid work models as we slowly return to a regular office work model.
