To be successful in this position, you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree and three years
of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience in
one or more of the following fields:
social work, mental health care, life coaching, or health and wellness
consulting and programming.
- Knowledgeable of college student
mental health issues and diagnoses.
- Demonstrated ability and
experience to work proactively to mitigate the potential for a student
emergency/crisis by working to consult, discuss, assess student issues, stress,
mental health status in order to develop effective support/coaching plan or
referral.
- Demonstrated experience providing personal
coaching, developing and facilitating support groups.
- Understanding of FERPA and privacy
laws when working with sensitive student information.
- Experience serving as a mandated
reporter for the purposes of Title IX, Clery Act, and the California Education
Code.
- Strong analytical and problem
solving skills to review and analyze complex information.
- Advanced computer skills,
including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced customer service skills.
- Relevant computer
systems/technology experience.
- Understanding of financial
transactions.
- Ability
to ensure and apply compliance with legal, financial, and university policies
and external regulations.

- Prior experience working with
undergraduate students on a wide-range of issues related to their social and
academic experiences.
- Experience working with a large
student population mostly housed on-campus with some students living off-campus
and participating in away programs along with study abroad programs.
- Experience working with academic
programs and faculty.
- Knowledge of typical undergraduate
services across a college campus.

- Prior experience working with both
graduate and undergraduate students on a wide-range of issues related to their
social and academic experiences as it relates to diverse student
identities.
- Experience working with a large
range of constituents including students, student leaders, staff, and
faculty.
- Experience applying identity
development frameworks and the ability to understand and discuss diversity,
inclusion, and social justice concepts.
