Qualifications – education and experience:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience or combination of education, training and relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Clinical Associates are expected to hold an advanced degree and an appropriate combination of education and experience. They are expected to possess exceptional skills as professional educators and leaders with a commitment to the mission and vision of STEP.
Minimum Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Ability to develop program partnerships and funding sources.
- Excellent oral, written, and analytical skills, exhibiting fluency in area of specialization.
- Ability to oversee and direct staff.
- Basic knowledge of managing budgets and developing financial plans.
Preferred Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Strong experience and expertise as a classroom teacher and contributor to schools and communities, particularly those traditionally underserved by our public school system.
- Knowledge of, commitment to, and successful experience working to develop more equitable and just educational opportunities and outcomes for all learners;
- Depth of knowledge and experience in building effective and inclusive practices for all learners;
- Ability to work constructively and communicate effectively with experienced and novice teachers;
- Collaborative working skills;
- Demonstrated experience leading team projects;
- Ability to interact effectively and tactfully with members of the academic community;
- Demonstrated experience working in an environment with colleagues of diverse backgrounds and customs;
- Demonstrated expertise with instructional design methodologies, pedagogical issues, and best practices for classroom, online, and hybrid learning;
- Excellent time management and project management skills, with demonstrated ability to manage a complex workload, prioritize tasks, and use good judgment in providing services based on goals;
- Ability to work with and honor diversity in all its forms;
- Excellent oral, written, and analytical skills.

This is a fixed-term position through Aug. 31, 2022 (extension possible depending on performance and funding).
