Position Requirements:
  • The successful individual will possess a minimum of seven years’ experience in theater and event production, stage management and/or facilities operations, or combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Strong events planning, project management, administrative and organizational abilities required.
  • Demonstrable ability to consistently meet deadlines with high accuracy, attention to detail, and follow-through on all assigned tasks. Must adroitly handle many tasks simultaneously in a competent, organized and unflappable manner.
  • Ability to work with artists, agents and managers in sensitive situations and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Excellent verbal skills necessary, as well as ability to communicate with extreme diplomacy, professionalism, and graciousness.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and good driving record.
  • Must also be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. for short distances.
  • Frequently stand/walk, seated, performs desk-based computer tasks.
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel required.  Experience with databases greatly preferred.  Experience with Final Cut, Photoshop or other Adobe products a plus.
  • Understanding of accounting, budgeting and financial issues and ability to track and monitor expenses related to the performances and hall operations.
  • Above average broad knowledge and interest in a variety of performing artists and genres strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrable resilience and ability to handle long hours and fast pace with a positive attitude.
  • General proficiency in all major areas of concert production (stage management, backline, lighting, video, general venue operations).
  • Must be available to work extended and flexible hours and work schedules, including evenings, weekends and holidays based on production and event schedule requirements.
  • May be exposed to noise > 80db TWA

  • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrates the ability to work well with Stanford colleagues and clients and with external organizations.
