Software Engineer

To be successful in this position, you will bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline and five years of increasing responsibility in software development, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
• Extensive experience building applications on Oracle Application Express
• Hands-on experience in database design, data architecture with Oracle databases
• Ability to select, adapt, and effectively use a variety of programming methods, with hands-on coding experience in at least one of the programming languages: Java, Python or C#.
• Hands-on experience in architecting, designing, developing, testing, and deploying applications with thorough understanding of all aspects of the software development life cycle and quality control practices.
• Demonstrated understanding of secure coding practices and ability in researching and implementing latest industry practices and technologies.
• Demonstrated experience managing activities, providing broad technical thought leadership and mentoring to teams.
• Experience working with distributed technical teams working in an agile/scrum environment.
• Demonstrated ability in building applications that boost user engagement and efficiency.

In addition, preferred requirements include:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience on Oracle Application Express is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with jQuery/JavaScript, CSS, HTML5 is a plus
• Skills in one or more of the following: RESTful services development, service-oriented architecture, cloud computing, MVC and related patterns.
