Education & Experience
Bachelor of Arts degree in an applicable social science-related field, or combination of education and relevant experience in an applicable social science. Experience in a quantitative discipline such as sociology (quantitative specialization), social policy, psychology, political science, economics, or statistics is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
● Substantial experience with MS Office and analytical programs.
● Knowledge of Stata, R, or similar statistical software
● Strong writing and analytical skills.
● Ability to prioritize workload.
● Excellent writing skills, strong analytical skills and attention to detail, substantial experience with analytical programs, and basic coursework in statistics.
In addition, preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
● Project management experience.
● Openness to a variety of projects, comfortable working in a dynamic environment, and flexible.
● Strong interest in participating in the lab’s mission of advancing children’s wellbeing and opportunity.
● General understanding of social science theory and methods
● Computer skills and ability to quickly learn and master computer programs
● Proficiency with Stata or R; experience with quantitative data analysis and management, familiarity with causal inference approaches is a plus.
● Content familiarity with issues of social inequality and child wellbeing
● Outstanding analytical writing skills with sharp attention to detail, appearance, and accuracy while utilizing good analytical judgement.
● Ability to work under deadlines with general guidance.
● Ability to multitask and prioritize workload appropriately with high attention to detail and follow-through.
● Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to complete detailed work accurately
● Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, reliable contribution, and enthusiasm for research
● Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn new quantitative methods.

Working Conditions:
● Some work may be performed in a laboratory or field setting.
● May be required to commute locally to off-campus locations for program work and research activities.
● May be required to work non-standard, extended, or weekend hours in support of research work.
The expected pay range for this position is $48,000 to $71,000 per annum.
