To be successful in this position, you will bring:

 

  • Advanced degree and five years relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with impact-first entrepreneurial processes, including an understanding of human-centered design, theories of change and impact evaluation, development of founding teams, and fundraising strategy.
  • Enthusiasm for the potential of the GSB’s aspiring impact leaders and the incredible power of the Stanford community to accelerate their work.
  • Energy to facilitate a high potential student community and create an outstanding campus-based co-curricular learning experience.
  • The humility necessary to empower others and find meaning in nurturing and supporting emerging leaders.
  • The interpersonal and networking skills needed to maintain collaborative relationships with a large number of people and to manage and motivate volunteers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively educate, inform, and inspire internal and external audiences.
  • Demonstrated success in management of projects, including project planning, scheduling, tracking, and budgeting.
  • Comfort with technology and data management. Strong analytical skills to review and assess complex data; Experience building and maintaining spreadsheets.

 

In addition, preferred requirements include:

 

  • Experience of the social entrepreneurship process as a founder, early staff member, incubator or accelerator program manager, or impact funder.
  • General awareness of the social innovation / social entrepreneurship landscape, including social enterprises, impact investors, grant makers, nonprofit and governmental organizations.
  • A broad awareness of domestic and global social and environmental issues and an ability to quickly get up to speed on any specific issue.
  • Fluency with social innovation frameworks.
  • An understanding of the nonprofit and for-profit funding landscape for social entrepreneurs.
  • An interest in policy as it affects opportunities for impact.
  • Comfort with coaching practices and the ability to relate to the population of business school students.
  • Experience working in higher education is also desirable.
