MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience or combination of education, training, and relevant experience. Advanced degree may be required. For jobs with financial responsibilities, experience managing a budget and developing financial plans. Master’s degree preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent oral, written, and analytical skills, exhibiting fluency in area of specialization.
- Ability to oversee and direct others.
- Basic knowledge of managing budgets and developing financial plans.
- Experience with WordPress, Microsoft Offices, RSS feeds (podcasts), Evernote, Social Media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube
- Ability to take direction and multi-task with limited supervision
- Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with high profile stakeholders, including staff, board members, external partners, investors, and donors.
- Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability.
- The ability to work in a team but also to be highly effective independently.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and partnership environment.
- The ability to work behind the scenes, while monetizing the founder’s mission driven vision.
Desired/Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent research skills.
- Experience with and basic knowledge of/ skills in the production and management of podcasts, social media, websites, and publishing platforms.
- Strong interest and/or experience in current affairs, academia, and politics.
- Experience with speech and op ed writing.
Certifications and Licenses:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
- Frequently stand/walk, sitting, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, perform desk-based computer tasks.
- Occasionally use a telephone, writing by hand, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 40 pounds.
- Rarely sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh >40 pounds.
- Ability to use voice to present information/communicate with others.
- On-campus mobility.
