MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree and eight years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience. Master’s degree or equivalent experience, with a background in business, political science, economics, or law strongly preferred.  

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to influence and motivate constituencies which could span multiple organizational boundaries.
  • Demonstrated excellent planning, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound business decisions using good business judgment and innovative and creative problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage financial, organizational, and staff resources. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to cultivate professional and business partnerships.
  • Relevant subject matter expertise in emerging technologies, private sector innovation/venture capital, national security.

 

Desired/Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • In-depth understanding of U.S. federal government, politics and political landscape.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact comfortably with high profile individuals and business leaders. 
  • Ability to think big picture and far in advance, while also managing day-to-day details.
  • Research, analytic, and presentation skills.
  • Energy, resilience, and good humor.  
  • A proactive orientation and ability to work collaboratively with experts from a wide array of fields and backgrounds.

 

Certifications and Licenses:

  • None 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:

  • Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
  • Frequently stand/walk, sitting, grasp lightly/fine manipulation.
  • Constant use of a telephone, text.
  • Rarely lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh 11-20 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Requires flexible schedule to include some work on evenings and weekends.
