DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
& Experience:
Advanced
degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in physical sciences or engineering technologies, publications
and patents desirable.
Hands-on
experience in performing/directing development of fabrication processes,
ideally in an R&D setting, including fundamental understanding of:
- Fabrication
processes. Diffusion, deposition, etch,
lithography and how these various functional areas are integrated in device
fabrication; analytical/characterization methods in fabrication.
- Statistics
and experimental design.
- Equipment
systems. Vacuum, gas delivery, liquid handling, utilities; repair tools, such
as leak detectors, oscilloscopes.
- Laboratory
and chemical safety in a research environment.
- Engineering
principles. Control theory, systems/logic communications, and engineering design
principles.
Familiarity in a field tangential to
silicon electronics is a plus, for example:
- Fabrication
for cross-disciplinary research or other research applications outside of
silicon electronics.
- Integrated
systems, transfer/hybrid/flexible electronics, test/assembly.
- Rapid
prototyping methods (3-D printing, CNC, CAD-CAM, laser micromachining).
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education
& Experience:
Bachelor's
degree and five years of relevant experience, or combination of education and
relevant experience.
Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities:
- Expert
knowledge of the principles of engineering and related natural sciences.
- Demonstrated
project leadership experience.
- Demonstrated
experience leading and/or managing technical professionals.
