About the Senior Data Scientist Position

We are looking for a full-time Senior Data Scientist to provide analytical expertise across our research programs. Working closely with the Faculty Director and Research Director, the Senior Data Scientist will be engaged in all aspects of the research process from research design, driving forward analytical methods, deploying data-driven solution, and evaluating interventions. We expect that the Senior Data Scientist will receive co-authorship on these papers. We are looking for candidates who have the ability, experience and energy to be the data and statistical lead for a diverse research program focused on machine learning and policy evaluation.

Experience working in an academic setting and extensive training in statistics and data science, including machine learning and causal inference is highly preferred. A minimum of a Master’s Degree in a relevant area (e.g., statistics, data science, engineering, computer science, computational social science) is required. A working knowledge/mastery of the following programs and languages will be given strong preference: R, Python, SQL, JavaScript, TensorFlow.
