Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years directly relevant experience, or combination of education and experience
  • Proven record of innovation, strategic thinking, and architecting communications that deliver on institutional goals*
  • Demonstrated success in high-impact content creation and direction of creative services (graphic design/production, video production, websites)*
  • Exceptional writing and presentation skills 
  • Highly responsive to high priority needs of multiple clients and ability to understand and manage priorities
  • Exceptional professionalism; highly motivated to deliver consistently at the highest level of quality
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and analytical skills; sharp attention to detail
  • High level of tact and discretion
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to cultivate productive partnerships
  • Extensive experience and deep understanding of design tools including Adobe Creative Suite products (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) 
  • Experience designing for Microsoft Office products such as PowerPoint
  • Experience using Figma or Adobe XD for digital prototyping and design is a plus
  • Experience designing for email is a plus
  • Motion graphics and short-form video editing experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, and/or photography experience is a plus
  • Ability to manage financial, organizational, and staff resources
  • Experience in university setting or large non-profit organization preferred

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**

  • Frequently perform desk-based computer tasks, sit, and use a telephone, stand/walk
  • Occasionally light/fine grasping, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds, writing by hand
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a California Non-commercial Class driver’s license.
