MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and eight years of related experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor's or graduate degree, plus eight or more years of related experience
- Professional writing and editing experience. Demonstrated advanced writing skills and the ability to synthesize materials from multiple sources. Extensive experience managing and coordinating complex writing projects.
- The highest standards of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
- The ability to work well with people at all levels, including senior staff, faculty, donors, volunteers, vendors, and outside service providers
- Demonstrated sound judgment in situations that require independent decision-making, problem solving, and handling confidential and sensitive materials
- Creative thinking skills and a solutions-oriented approach to challenges
- A commitment to promoting and supporting an environment of diversity and inclusion.
- Proven ability to present, write, edit, and organize thoughts in a clear, concise, and well-organized manner. Flawless copyediting and proofing.
- Solid project management/production management experience, with demonstrated success in working with multiple stakeholders and overseeing complex projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
- Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
- Frequently stand/walk, sit, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, and use a telephone, writing by hand.
- Occasionally reach/work above shoulders, grasp forcefully, and sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
- Visual and auditory acuity, including color vision required.
