To be successful in this position, you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree and eight years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
- Flexible and nimble attitude reflecting the intersection between two teams and spirit of experimentation in a role that’s new to the organization.
- Superior interpersonal and listening skills and the proven ability to collaborate as well as build strong working relationships with colleagues across the campus to achieve fundraising results.
- Proven ability to achieve results working through others – facilitating and enabling others to act will be as important as actions taken directly.
- Demonstrated effectiveness working with and having the credibility to engage with high net worth individuals, including prospect identification, relationship building, solicitation, and stewardship.
- Superior communication and presentation skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to distill complex information to articulate a compelling case for philanthropic support.
- Demonstrated experience engaging and motivating groups of diverse individuals.
In addition, our preferred requirements include:
- Previous experience in a campaign.
- Proven skills in managing a number of competing priorities and complex issues creatively and effectively. This may include long-range strategic planning, fundraising, donor development, and volunteer engagement with the day-to-day operations.
- Political savvy to navigate a complex academic environment. Ability to meet deadlines and function effectively in an environment demanding a high energy level, discretion, flexibility, and superior work.
