MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
Two-year college degree and
five years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant
experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
● Ability to plan effectively and to manage/supervise projects and work
queues.
● Ability to provide excellent client service.
● Ability to lead projects requiring technical expertise and creativity
in analysis and deployment of technology.
● Must have advanced level expertise diagnostic techniques for problem
troubleshooting.
● Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to
communicate complex technical issues to non-technical users.
● Ability to apply information technology best practices, including
security (this includes information security or physical security, such as
asset management) to problem resolution and troubleshooting.
Desired
Skills:

Fluency with Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform
tools and concepts, particularly access management, auditing tools and resource
provisioning
●
Prior experience exploring and supporting large-scale data
analytics, ETL and warehousing tools such as Amazon EMR, Databricks, Snowflake,
Redshift, BigQuery, etc.
●
Ability to write simple scripts in Python, bash, or Perl
●
Linux system administration skills, including installing
software, provisioning users and managing file permissions
●
Creating, collecting and displaying key metrics of system
utilization and performance
●
Experience supporting data management and analysis in
Python, R, Matlab, SQL, SAS, and/or Stata on Unix-based systems.
●
Experience or interest in full stack development and
administration of web applications for research, using tools such as React,
Redux, Flask, MongoDB, Node, Go etc.
●
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
in a fast-paced environment with unpredictable workflows.
●
Familiarity with all aspects with research data security,
including deidentification, network and file system ACLs, IRB compliance, etc.
●
Demonstrated commitment to continual learning and professional
growth.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
● Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
● Frequently sitting, use a telephone, grasp lightly/fine manipulation,
bending, lifting, standing, and carrying equipment.
● Occasionally lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh 21-40 pounds.
● Rarely kneel/crawl, climb (ladders, scaffolds, or other), writing by
hand, sort/file paperwork or parts, grasp forcefully.
