To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant work experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with coworkers, faculty, students and staff.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to produce quality writing within a compact, intensive timeframe.
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
  • Experience in developing and delivering workshops.
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere, including Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience writing and editing material in a wide range of engineering disciplines.
  • Experience writing and editing technical proposals for federal and non-federal sponsors.
  • Expert-level abilities in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Word.
  • Knowledge of LaTex (or similar tool) for the construction of mathematical formulas.
In addition, preferred requirements include:
  • Master’s degree in science and technical journalism, science and technical writing, or a technical field desired.
  • Previous experience with grant proposal development desired.
