Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or graduate degree (including JDs) reflecting sophisticated training in empirical social sciences, including but not limited to economics or statistics 
  • Experience collecting data sets (including through data scraping), running regressions, and/or designing and implementing surveys and interviews 
  • Experience with statistical software packages (Stata, R, SAS, etc.) and/or programming languages (Python, Java, C++, etc.)
  • Strong interest in working on IP topics; knowledge of intellectual property law is desirable, but not required
  • Excellent academic credentials and intellectual creativity
  • Eagerness to take initiative and solve problems
  • Outstanding time-management skills and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Exceptional research and analytical writing skills

(4) Independent (non-co-authored) writing sample, ideally using empirical, econometric, or statistical methodologies to analyze a research question
