Research Data Analyst 1 (Hybrid)

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s in Statistics, Biostatistics, Public Health, or related field preferred.  Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Biostatistics or Statistics with a strong portfolio of statistical coursework will be considered. Experience in statistical consulting highly desirable.
• Proficient in SAS and/or R, following best practices for commenting and organizing code
• Strong skillset in descriptive statistics and data visualization.
• Strong skillset in univariate & multivariable analysis of categorical, continuous, and time to event data.
• Experienced in performing data quality checks and validation.
• Outstanding ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Meticulous in handling of detailed data & statistical output.
• Mission-oriented with strong desire and curiosity to push forward research in an academic setting.
• Strong interest in orthopaedics and orthopaedic surgery.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams with varying working styles.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):

Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and relevant experience. Experience in a quantitative discipline such as economics, finance, statistics or engineering.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):

• Substantial experience with MS Office and analytical programs.
• Strong writing and analytical skills.
• Ability to prioritize workload.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:

• Sitting in place at computer for long periods of time with extensive keyboarding/dexterity.
• Occasionally use a telephone.
• Rarely writing by hand.

The expected pay range for this position is $64,480 to $93,000 per annum.
