MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor of Arts degree in an applicable social science related field, or combination of education and relevant experience in an applicable social science.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- General understanding of scientific theory and methods, typically gained through completion of an undergraduate degree in a related field.
- General computer skills and ability to quickly learn and master computer programs.
- Ability to work under deadlines with general guidance.
- Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to complete detailed work accurately.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with human study participants.
Preferred/Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrated knowledge and course experience in comparative politics generally and the political, institutional, social, economic, and international factors that affect the emergence, stability, quality, and decay of liberal democracy.
Certifications and Licenses:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
- Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
- Frequently sitting.
- Occasionally stand/walk, reach/work above shoulders, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, use a telephone, sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
- Rarely twist/bend/stoop/squat, kneel/crawl.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- May be required to work non-standard, extended or weekend hours in support of research work.
The expected pay range for this position $34.00 - $40.41 per hour.
The expected pay range for this position if working from a remote location, is $26.34-$35.09 per hour.
