DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- College-level education with a BS in Chemistry, Biology or other STEM major is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with highly accurate work product.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to use good judgment in responding to inquiries.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
High School Diploma plus 2 years relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, strong command of the English language, both oral and written.
- Strong interpersonal and telephone communication skills.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, PDF, Power Point, and Databases.
- Data entry experience.
- Must be able to understand and apply policies, procedures and protocols of the university.
- Familiarity with purchasing/inventory control procedures and/or Stanford University financial systems highly desirable.
- Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail in a high-pressure environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
- Frequently perform desk based computer tasks, use a telephone, sit and use light/fine grasping.
- Occasionally stand, walk and write by hand, lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing 10 pounds or less.
- Rarely kneel, crawl, climb, twist, bend, stoop, squat, reach or work above shoulders, grasp forcefully and sort, file paperwork or parts, lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing over 40 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
May require extended working hours during peak cycles. Will require on-campus presence at least 3 times a week.

The expected pay range for this position is $55,000 to $70,000 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
