DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Procurement Experience Preferred,

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience performing duties similar to those listed above or a combination of education and relevant experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):
- Extensive experience with an on-line purchase requisition and purchase order system.
- Strong knowledge of market conditions, trade practices, sources, and lead times.
- Experience placing routine but higher value purchase orders relative to best value and reasonableness of price costing.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment to identify, clarify and resolve routine but higher value problems (e.g. resolve discrepancies on RFPs and Purchase orders as they arise).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have the ability to take initiative to complete duties proactively, and work under varying deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
- Frequently perform desk based computer tasks, use a telephone, sit and use light/fine grasping.
- Occasionally stand, walk and write by hand, lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing 10 pounds or less.
- Rarely kneel, crawl, climb, twist, bend, stoop, squat, reach or work above shoulders, grasp forcefully and sort, file paperwork or parts.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- May require availability outside of standard working hours.

The expected pay range for this position is $82,688 to $99,239 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
