DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Registered Nurse with at least five years of pediatric, maternal/child health, neonatal or public health experience. In addition to the scope defined on this announcement, candidates must possess essential personal qualifications including integrity, initiative, dependability, good judgement, attention to detail, and ability to work cooperatively with and supervise others.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
· A Registered Nurse with at least two years of pediatric, maternal child health, neonatal or public health experience. At least two years of experience in program planning and administration, supervision, and development and/or implementation of educational program, bachelor’s degree in nursing and master’s degree in nursing or other health-related field. Or a Registered Nurse with at least two years of experience as a full-time coordinator for the California Newborn Screening Program, and at least two years of experience in program planning and administration, supervision, and development and/or implementation of educational programs; bachelor’s degree in nursing.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):
· Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, manage shifting priorities, and handle numerous time-sensitive projects with multiple deadlines.
· Ability to accomplish goals working through formal and informal channels, with diplomacy and tactfulness.

CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES:
· Current/valid California driver’s license is required.
· Current/valid California registered nursing license is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
· Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
· Frequently stand/walk, sitting, grasp lightly/fine manipulation.
· Occasionally use a telephone.
· Rarely lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh 11-20 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Will be expected to work during Stanford University’s Winter Closure each year. The Program Director and nursing staff are expected to share coverage, including weekend call coverage.
