MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Acupuncture from an accredited institution AND current state licensure to practice acupuncture in California OR Graduate of an accredited medical institution (MD, DO), with active standing with board-certification or renewal eligibility AND completion of a minimum of 300 hours of systematic acupuncture education acceptable to the American Board of Medical Acupuncture.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proven experience working as an Acupuncturist, preferably with a focus on sports medicine or musculoskeletal conditions.
- Thorough knowledge of therapeutic modalities, including cupping, gua sha, e-stim; experience with scalp acupuncture, therapeutic massage, and home stretching and strengthening exercise programs preferred.
- Basic knowledge of State of California Worker’s Compensation regulations and processes.
- Proficiency with computers using Microsoft Office Suite, internet, and email programs.
- Written English skills to document examination observations, adverse actions, and documentation required by regulatory agencies.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate medical principles to individuals of al age groups and cultural backgrounds.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information (verbal and written) with tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Demonstrated commitment to personal responsibility and value for safety, shown through communication of safety concerns, and use and promotion of safe behaviors based on training and lessons learned.
Certifications and Licenses:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
- Frequently, regular and recurring physical exertion, including standing, walking, twist/bend/stoop/squat/stretching.
- Occasionally sitting, reach/work above shoulders, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, perform desk-based computer tasks, use a telephone, writing by hand, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- May enter areas where other individuals work with human blood. During acupuncture duties, potential may exist for unanticipated exposure to bloodborne pathogens via accidental needle sticks and airborne infectious diseases. Employees are expected to take universal precautions.

For On-site or Hybrid positions:
The expected pay range for this position is $138,000 to $170,000 per annum.
