To be successful in this position, you will need:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in English, communications, or journalism, and eight years of relevant work experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Extensive knowledge and skill in all editorial processes including story development, quality control, design, and collaboration.
- Ability to provide recommendations for long-range strategies.
- Ability to synthesize complex material from multiple sources to identify and resolve key editorial and publication issues.
- Ability to work effectively and provide leadership to a team under stringent deadline requirements.
- Ability to work effectively with senior organizational leaders, scientists, and faculty.
- Demonstrated project-management skills and ability to plan, budget, and track resources.
- Demonstrated ability to apply discretion and judgment in evaluating implications of publication and information release to internal and external audiences.
In addition, preferred qualifications include:
- Experience launching and managing a global-facing publication.
- Subject-matter expertise with sustainability.
The expected pay range for this position is $144,288 to $168,181 per annum.
