DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
B.S. degree in Biological Sciences or other relevant field is required.
M.Sc. degree strongly desired.
At least 3 years of laboratory experience degree is after the B.S. is desired.
Proficiency with basic molecular biology techniques and cell culture.
Familiarity with genomic approaches, genome editing/cloning, microscopy and data analysis software is strongly desired.
Performance of technical procedures, interpretation of results, recognition of irregularities, recommendations for modification of techniques and approaches will be expected.
Significant experience with cell culture and molecular biology techniques is required, and previous experience in genome stability, DNA replication and repair, imaging, or next-generation sequencing approaches is desired.
The candidate should be able to work independently, be highly motivated, well organized, adaptable and work well within a highly interdisciplinary and international team. Good communication and interpersonal skills as well as fluent English are essential, as well as proficient computer skills.
The LSRP 2 must be self-motivated, a quick learner, technically adept, accurate, efficient, organized and keep detailed records.
The ability to work under tight deadlines with general guidance is essential.
The LSRP must also have good general basic computer skills and familiar with use of databases and online molecular biology tools. In addition, the LSRP 2 must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
Bachelor's degree in related scientific field and two years of relevant work experience; or Master’s degree in a related scientific field.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
• Frequently stand, walk, twist, bend, stoop, squat, grasp lightly, use fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, perform desk-based computer tasks, use telephone, write by hand, lift, carry, push and pull objects weighing over 40 pounds.
• Occasionally sit, kneel, crawl, reach and work above shoulders, sort and file paperwork or parts.
• Rarely climb, scrub, sweep, mop, chop and mix or operate hand and foot controls.
