DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Masters or higher degree in communications, public health, digital media.
Experience with community-engaged research or collaboration.
Knowledge of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) and other sexual and gender minority (SGM) communities.
Knowledge of the organization, its achievements, mission, vision, goals, policies, practices, infrastructure, and a strong knowledge of current affairs, and issues in health sciences.
Basic knowledge of design software tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
Interest in holistic community health.
Ability to work with sexual, gender, and racial minority and other marginalized populations and be empathetic.
Ability to work with people from different professional settings, including research and community advocacy.
Ability to work with monolingual Spanish-speaking and other non-English speaking communities.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):

Bachelor's degree and minimum 3 years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):

Knowledge of the web, technology, social platforms, current and future trends.
Excellent writing and analytical skills.
Demonstrated problem solver.
Ability to leverage current and future trends to help an organization succeed at the initiative level, for a specific group, team or unit.
Ability to work independently to meet expected deadlines and schedules.
Experience leading highly-functioning teams.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:

Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
Frequently stand/walk, sit, use a telephone, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, speaking.
Occasionally grasp forcefully, writing by hand.
Rarely sort/file paperwork.
