MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a qualitative or quantitative analytical discipline such as natural, physical, or social sciences and three years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience. Native or near-native proficiency in the target language (Chinese) and experience collecting, reading, interpreting, and analyzing complex scientific and policy documents in the target language (Chinese).
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Master’s degree in qualitative or quantitative analytical discipline such as natural, physical, or social sciences, AND/OR:
- Experience in policy research, particularly in science policy, AND/OR:
- Experience writing data-driven, analytical reports/papers, AND/OR:
- Coding skills for data analysis using Python, R, or STATA.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Substantial experience with MS Office and analytical programs.
- Excellent writing and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Substantial experience with Google Drive and ability to quickly learn and master computer programs.
- Ability to produce high-quality work on deadlines.
- Adaptability and receptivity to feedback.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to complete detailed work accurately with a keen attention to details.
- Proclivity to be a self-starter, take initiative and propose creative solutions to problems.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to prosper in a flexible, team-based working environment and interact comfortably and work effectively with others to set timelines, map milestones, and manage competing priorities.
- Interested in upskilling and continued learning to tackle new challenges.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
- Frequently sitting.
- Occasionally stand/walk, reach/work above shoulders, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, use a telephone, sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
- Rarely twist/bend/stoop/squat, kneel/crawl.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- May be required to work non-standard, extended or weekend hours in support of research work.
- Occasional overnight business travel.

The expected pay range for this position is $86,000-$88,500 per annum.
