Minimum requirements
Education & Experience:
A bachelor's degree and three years of increasingly technical work experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
We’re looking for candidates with expertise in:
- Component-oriented development using React/Gatsby/Angular/Web Components/Polymer or equivalent, and Node.
- Mobile-first and responsive design principles using front-end frameworks that rely on ES6/9, SASS, and grid systems and balancing progressive enhancement and graceful degradation.
- WCAG 2.0 AA web accessibility standards, including the use of semantic HTML and ARIA.
- Developing websites using open source tools (Drupal 8, WordPress), languages, libraries, and standards-compliant code.
- Creating and fixing HTML, CSS, SASS/SCSS, and Javascript.
- Working with Git and feature/branch workflows.
Other abilities include:
- Ability to work well under pressure with multiple projects in a highly collaborative environment.
- Ability to interact positively with and build consensus among a diverse group of colleagues, clients, and senior leadership.
- Solid understanding of web standards and usability methods.
- Familiarity with browser devices and platform differences and idiosyncrasies, and ability to develop workarounds to accommodate specialized user/client needs and device platforms.
- Familiarity with Drupal 8’s theme layer and the Twig templating system is beneficial, but not required.
- Some experience working with REST APIs, JSON and SOAP and build tools and package managers, such as Yarn and Webpack or similar, is beneficial but not required.

Physical requirements
- Frequently sit, perform desk-based computer tasks, and grasp lightly/fine manipulation and lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
- Occasionally stand/walk, write by hand.
- Rarely use a telephone, kneel, crawl, climb ladders, twist/bend/stoop/squat, reach/work above shoulder, grasp forcefully.
