The Department of Radiology at Stanford University is seeking a Faculty Affairs Administrator 2 to provide analysis and guidance within the Department regarding faculty and academic staff appointments, reappointments, promotions, and the search process.
The people and programs comprising Stanford Radiology are world-renowned. Stanford Radiology continues to push the boundaries of innovation in physics and engineering to develop cutting-edge methods for enhanced anatomic and functional imaging. Our diverse multidisciplinary teams of scientists, together with industry collaborators, are creating new methods for the early detection of cancer using molecular imaging, nanotechnology, and systems biology. They also continue to develop improved and more targeted methods for least-invasive, and compassionate cancer patient care.
Ultimately, Stanford Radiology plans to play a very important role in the development of personalized medicine by moving advances from the laboratories to the clinic for improved patient-centric care. Anticipating better tools for implementing personalized medicine, we are starting to develop a patient-centric approach to radiology that will greatly increase the interaction between radiologists and their patients. In this way, radiologists will no longer be invisible, behind-the-scenes, contributors to their patients, but will be front and center members of their patients' health care teams.
The incumbent will ensure compliance with school and university policies. Incumbent must have strong business acumen, ability to multi-task, be extremely organized & detailed, and self-motivated. We are looking for a team player who has excellent communication skills, both written and speech, that allow high-level interactions with a diverse academic and medical community.
Duties include*:
Provide operational support and guidance to search/review committees and make recommendations for process improvement.
Document and interpret policies and processes for contributors to the appointment/promotion form (chair, faculty lead, and candidate).
Manage review, promotion, and search processes, including marketing, recruiting, preparing committee reports. Create agenda, prepare and edit documents and forms for faculty review including recommendations.
Identify problematic information in letters and advise on how to resolve the problem. May provide first level approval for appointments and reappointments.
Prepare offer letters, as needed, for the chair or dean, which may include gathering and synthesizing information from other offices.
Serve as primary point of contact, as needed, in onboarding and orienting new faculty to the department, school, and university. Oversee all faculty visa matters and advise on application of policy, as needed. Troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Assist in ensuring compliance with faculty diversity related policies as led by the Office of Faculty Development, Diversity, and Engagement.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience supporting faculty or academic staff appointments, reappointments, promotions, and search processes in an academic environment.
Strong understanding of university policies and procedures, with the ability to interpret and apply them accurately.
Ability to provide thoughtful analysis and guidance on faculty affairs matters.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy and compliance in complex transactions.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain policies and processes to faculty and leadership.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Experience collaborating with HR, faculty, and administrative teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Excel, Word) and experience working within academic systems or environments.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
Bachelor's degree and three years of experience working with administrative processes, or combination of education and relevant experience.

The expected pay range for this position is $75,020 to $96,120 per annum.
