To be successful in this position, you will need:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or other appropriate technical area, or an equivalent combination of technical education, training, and experience. Ten years of related, progressively responsible experience requiring extensive leadership and strategic expertise in facilities operations, maintenance, and planning, life safety, emergency planning and management, and performing duties similar to those listed above.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced knowledge of best practices in facilities management discipline.
- Demonstrated experience managing large facility organizations, or experience in managing a large professional service organization.
- Demonstrated experience as a senior manager with responsibility for developing and mentoring managers and senior professionals.
- Advanced knowledge and application of relevant codes, regulations, and processes.
In addition, our preferred qualifications include:
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to influence and motivate constituencies which could span multiple organizational boundaries.
- Adapt readily to change and respond constructively to evolving priorities.
- Proven experience in mitigating, preparing for, responding to, maintaining, and recovering facilities operations during and after natural disasters or other human-caused crises.
- Anticipate challenges and drive forward-thinking, solutions-oriented approaches.
- Demonstrated excellent planning, organizational and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to make sound business decisions using good business judgment and innovative and creative problem-solving.
- Demonstrated ability to manage financial, organizational and staff resources.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to cultivate professional and business partnerships.
- Experience in higher education

The expected pay range for this position is $240,678 to $300,000 per annum.
