Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering discipline or other appropriate specialty, or Combination of education and experience.
- Extensive professional experience.
- Ten years of progressive managerial experience including leading technical or cross-functional teams.
- Experience managing complex projects or groups of projects.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to work with government officials and regulatory agencies.
- Ability to function independently in a number of university-wide planning-administration specialties. Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate strong and collaborative relationships inside and outside the organization.
- Proficiency with standard desktop applications for word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations.
Certifications and Licenses:
Professional Engineering License preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
- Frequently sitting, perform desk-based computer tasks, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
- Occasionally stand/walk, twist/bend/stoop/squat, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, use a telephone, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 11-20 pounds,
- Rarely kneel/crawl, climb (ladders, scaffolds, or other), reach/work above shoulders, grasp forcefully, writing by hand, sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh >40 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Requires 24-hour response availability seven days per week for emergency situations. May be exposed to noise > 80dB TWA.
- May working at heights 4 - 10 ft.
