To be successful in this role
you must bring:
- Associate degree and three years of relevant experience or
combination of education and relevant experience.
- Valid Non-Commercial Class California Driver's License.
- This person must be able to work in a multi-task, fast paced environment
that will also entail early morning, night and weekend work. All of the events
this person manages are important to the University and many are highly
visible.
- This person must have the skills and ability to remain calm during a
large complex event and deal with emerging situations effectively.
- Must exhibit excellent communication (verbal/written) and customer
service skills.
- Attention to detail, deadlines, and the ability to prioritize/manage
workflow are essential on a daily basis.
- Should have a solid understanding of audio visual components
(projection, sound, lighting), furnishings and logistics for all types of
events.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and other online documents, such as
Google Docs is desired.
- Experience with IntelliEvent and Social Tables a plus.

Physical Requirements*:
- Frequently stand/walk, sit, perform desk-based
computer tasks, use a telephone.
- Occasionally kneel/crawl,
twist/bend/stoop/squat, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, and grasp
forcefully, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh 21-40 pounds.
- Drive vehicle day and/or night with
non-commercial license.
