To be successful in this role you must bring:

• • Ability to perform manual work in all types of weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of uses and purposes of common hand tools.
  • Basic math skills and ability to follow a map or site diagram.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to follow job-related instructions, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • May require a valid California driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • May require training and certification as a forklift operator.
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs.

Physical Requirements*:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a California Non-commercial Class C Driver’s License.
• Ability to enter and exit work truck.
• Ability to perform manual work in all types of weather conditions. 
• Constantly grasp forcefully, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to or more than 40 pounds. Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
• Frequently stand/walk, twist/bend/stoop/squat. 
• Occasionally sit, work/reach above shoulders, use telephone, write by hand, and operate hand controls.
• Rarely, perform desk-based computer tasks, sort/file paperwork or parts, kneel/crawl, climb (ladders, scaffolds, or other) grasp lightly, sweep/scrub/mop.

Working Conditions

• • May be required to work overtime, evenings, and weekends, including holidays, sometimes in inclement weather conditions. 
  • May require training and certification as a forklift operator.
  • May be exposed to lasers and temperature extremes.
  • May wear uniform.
  • May be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

The expected pay range for this position is $23.82 (Step 1) - $28.74 (Step 10) per hour. Placement in the pay range is subject to the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
