Education & Experience (Required)
Bachelor’s degree in health care science and five years relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Required)

  • Demonstrated ability to oversee the development and implementation of simulation education programs.
  • Knowledge of, and having participated in, developing and teaching education programs.
  • Demonstrated ability and knowledge of relevant simulation technology and experience running simulation activities. 
  • Excellent facilitation and oral and written communication skills. ability to prepare clear and concise reports and deliver formal presentations or training to senior management and other audiences.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and customer service orientation, with ability to be flexible in responding to customer needs. 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships internally and externally with colleagues, stakeholders, faculty and staff. 
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize resources and personnel for program planning and implementation. 
  • Strong supervision/management and staff development experience.

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Certification in Simulation Education (CHSOS, CHSE)
  • Advanced Degree in Education, Nursing, Medicine or other Healthcare related field
  • Clinical experience (MD, RN, RT, EMT-P, Anesthesia Tech)
  • 3-5 years of experience in health care simulation

 

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently stand/walk, sit, perform desk-based computer tasks, twist/bend/stoop/squat, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
  • Occasionally kneel/crawl, use a telephone, writing by hand, sort/file paperwork or parts, reach/work above shoulders, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 40 pounds.
  • Rarely climb (ladders, scaffolds, or other), grasp lightly/fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh >40 pounds.

 

Working Conditions
May require extended or unusual work hours based on research requirements and business needs.
