Director of Finance and Administration

To be successful in this position:

• Bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience in administrative and financial management, or combination of education and relevant experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills, including conflict resolution.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Advanced financial expertise in accounting, budget planning and financial forecasting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage administrative, technical, financial, and operational needs of a multinational organization.
• Demonstrated ability to anticipate and plan for tax, legal, financial, and HR/employment related considerations required to facilitate global initiatives. 
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and manage the budgetary implications of currency fluctuations.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines.

In addition, preferred qualifications include:

• Cultural awareness and sensitivity with the ability to bridge the behaviors and needs of other countries with the legal and financial needs of the U.S.
• Knowledge of procurement processes and policies, especially related to international contracts and special payments.

About the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education (VPUE)

For undergraduates, VPUE is the nexus for programs and initiatives that help students define and achieve their intellectual ambitions at Stanford.
