To be successful in this position, you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree and 8 years relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience (Advanced degree preferred). Substantial experience within large, complex higher education, healthcare, or nonprofit fundraising campaigns, preferred.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in prospect identification and relationship building.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring and working with volunteers, faculty, and staff.
- Superior written and oral communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to articulate a compelling case for philanthropic support derived from complex concepts.
- Ability to work effectively with faculty, top executives, and community leaders.

- Well-honed leadership abilities and a willingness to take risks, solve problems creatively, and navigate ambiguity.

- Success in creating and/or managing multi-faceted marketing and communications initiatives.
- Experience in managing projects, including planning, scheduling, tracking, and budgeting.
- The ability to activate projects and to work independently as well as collaboratively within a cross-functional/cross-departmental team. Ability to manage multiple projects and see projects through to a timely completion.
- Thorough understanding of development operations in a complex environment, including analyzing and interpreting data to drive and assess campaign strategies.
- Proven technological capabilities and expertise with utilization of fundraising databases, spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software.
- Functional experience in several of the following areas: marketing, internal communications, principal gift fundraising, and/or advancement campaign leadership, is preferred.
- Comfort with a work schedule that may include travel and some evening and weekend work.

This role is open to candidates anywhere in the United States. Stanford University has five Regional Pay Structures. The compensation for this position will be based on the location of the successful candidate. The expected pay range for this position is $111,000 to $182,000 per annum.
