MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience. Master’s degree preferred.
- Knowledge of health care, land use and related public policy issues preferred. Knowledge of the Bay Area and Palo Alto a plus.

- Knowledge and understanding of public policy processes at the government level.
- Knowledge and understanding of the healthcare industry, community, and government affairs.
- Superb written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with policymakers.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to diplomatically solve problems and build key relationships.
- Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area (Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
- Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
- Frequently stand/walk, sit, use a telephone, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, speaking.
- Occasionally grasp forcefully, writing by hand.
- Rarely sort/file paperwork.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- May require working flexible hours, including nights and weekends. Regular travel may be required.
- Valid passport for international travel.
