Director for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging & Access (DEIBA)

To be successful in this position, you will bring: 

• Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience or combination of education, training, and relevant experience. 
• Experience working productively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds, and the ability to discern how marginalized populations may have differing needs.
• Understanding of privilege, power, marginalization, and oppression and how they manifest personally, interpersonally, structurally, and institutionally.
• Demonstrated commitment to inclusive and anti-oppressive efforts through examples from personal and/or professional work.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with demonstrated results in leveraging insights for decision-making.
• Self-motivation, action-orientation, ability to work independently and cross-functionally and make sound decisions.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships and work collaboratively across a complex institution.
• Ability to prepare clear, concise, sensitively written materials and presentations for a wide ranging audience.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to influence and motivate constituencies, bringing diverse groups to consensus. 
• Experience working in an independent school setting, in a higher education setting or with the 7-12 student population.

In addition, preferred requirements include: 

• Demonstrated oral, written, and analytical skills, exhibiting fluency in area of specialization
• Advance degree and program administration experience.
• Ability to oversee and provide basic direction to staff.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently stand/walk, sitting, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, perform desk-based computer tasks.
• Occasionally use a telephone, writing by hand, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to use voice to present information/communicate with others.
