EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
- Advanced degree and five or more years of relevant experience in area of specialization or combination of relevant education, training, and/or experience. Experience managing a budget and developing financial plans. Experience developing program partnerships and funding sources.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced degree in a data science or technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Five or more years of experience with research development in a large, complex higher education environment, with a broad range of sponsors and funding mechanisms, and with a track record of success.
- Track record of funded grants, corporate gifts, and other fund generation.
- Experience with assisting minority and women faculty as well as early and mid-career faculty.
- Experience teaching, mentoring, and facilitating meetings with students and faculty.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):
- Ability to develop program partnerships and funding sources.
- Advanced oral, written, and analytical skills, exhibiting fluency in area of specialization.
- Ability to oversee and direct staff.
- Ability to manage budgets and develop financial plans.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
- Frequently stand/walk, sitting, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, perform desk-based computer tasks.
- Occasionally use a telephone, writing by hand, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weight up to 40 pounds.
- Rarely sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weight > 40 pounds.
- Ability to use voice to present information/communication with others.
- On-campus mobility.
