MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma.
5 years relevant experience in a production data center environment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with minimum direction.
- Must have excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
- Self-starter capable of working independently and as a member of a team
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish effective, ongoing relationships with clients, staff and management.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and work under pressure in high stress situations.
- Knowledge of Schneider Eco-Struxure IT (Data Center Operation, Data Center Expert) ServiceNow, and can utilize technology based tools.
- Experience with ITIL a plus
Certifications and Licenses:
BICSI Installer 1 Technician Certification or equivalent.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
- Will require physical work constantly standing on feet, regularly crawl, crouch, kneel and move up and down ladders.
- Frequently sit, and perform desk work (email to clients, update work orders) grasp lightly/fine manipulation (must be able to use snips and crimping tool).
- Occasionally stand/walk, use a telephone.
- Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 50 pounds individually, 80 pounds assisted.
- Rarely write by hand
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work extended hours and weekend maintenance windows.
- Exposed to high voltage electricity , noise >80dB TWA, confined spaces, hot temperatures, heavy metals.
