Qualifications:
 

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

Three years’ experience or a combination of education and relevant experience. Prefer crafts, millinery and dance costuming and pattern making experience.


  • Must be well qualified in the areas of costume construction, fitting and maintenance.
  • Extensive costume or garment construction background. Pattern making and manipulation skills
  • Ability to verbally and conceptually understand and negotiate visual concepts.
  • Excellent sewing skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of equipment, systems and safety procedures used in theatrical costume shops and theaters.
  • Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff and students within the context of a theatrical
environment.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and the ability to work as a team member as well as independently.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a California Non-commercial Class license.
