To be successful in the role you will bring:
Bachelor's degree and five years of related experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
Ability to work independently to meet both long and short-term deadlines while building and fostering collegial working relationships
Ability to manage complex tasks simultaneously, coordinate the work of numerous participants by setting priorities and deliverables.
Proficiency in both Mac and PC computing applications including email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google docs/slides and web navigation tools
Proven ability to write engaging, original copy for a wide range of marketing communications including email, web, direct mail, print ads and digital
Impeccable English-language editing and proofreading skills—only eagle eyes need apply!
Creative thinking and excellent verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate and collaborate well with colleagues and clients
Proven success managing and executing multiple writing and editing projects in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to write in SAA’s “fresh” brand voice, creating pithy copy that connects with alumni audiences of all ages and life stages
Enviable organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Experience working from creative briefs and in an agency setting
Talent as a marketing video scriptwriter
Experience writing marketing, advertising and UX copy
Love of Stanford and a familiarity with the Stanford student experience and the Stanford alumni experience is a plus
Willingness to support SAA's values and mission through support of alumni events (approximately 16 hours per year typically held in the evening or on the weekend)
