Job Purpose:

Computer Resource Consulting (CRC) here at Stanford is looking for an Operations Analyst to help make our growing IT end-user support services run smoothly and efficiently. The Operations Analyst will report to one of the managers in CRC responsible for the delivery of IT services to our clients throughout the University. The purpose of this role is to lead the operational aspects of our business freeing up time for our technical consultants allowing them to focus on delivering high quality end-user support. We are an internal service center (meaning we charge Stanford for our services), but we are still Stanford employees. We balance “running an excellent service” and “doing the right thing.” We know we do a great job because our clients do not have to use us, and we take pride in that.


Core Duties*:

  • Establish/improve operational processes required to deliver services to supported clients 

  • Act as key client contact for service feedback and customer concerns

  • Work closely with the hardware refresh team to ensure accuracy of hardware orders and processes are in place from intake to deployment

  • Maintain client appointment and office hours scheduling 

  • Create and maintain documentation for all key operational processes and procedures

  • Facilitate/lead small client projects assigned to the team

  • Work with the team manager and service delivery manager to produce reports to identify operational improvement opportunities 

  • Other duties may also be assigned

Minimum Requirements: 

Education & Experience: 
  • Two-year college degree and two or more years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Experience with industry standard tools such as Excel, G Suite and/or Smartsheet. 
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen focus on relevant details. 
  • Understanding of endpoint technologies (PCs, Macs, peripherals, etc.) and how they are supported in an enterprise environment is highly desirable. 
  • Ability to provide excellent client service. 

Certifications and Licenses: 
  • None 

Physical requirements*: 
  • Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks. 
  • Frequently sitting, use a telephone, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, bending, lifting, standing, and carrying equipment. 
  • Occasionally lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh 21-40 pounds. 
  • Rarely kneel/crawl, climb (ladders, scaffolds, or other), writing by hand, sort/file paperwork or parts, grasp forcefully.
